With the upcoming spring sports season, there is a question on whether or not the school will have a baseball or softball team. A group of 6th grades have taken it upon themselves to go to Mr. Escala and ask for a new softball team. The current 8th graders have already tried to start a baseball team before, but there weren’t enough people with a strong desire to play. Although, if we were to have a baseball or softball team, we wouldn’t be able to have a lacrosse team due to a limited amount of players. We interviewed a few 8th graders and others who had previously tried to form a baseball team. Although at the time they were very keen on making this happen, they now aren’t very optimistic that this is going to happen. But, the 6th graders are still pushing for the teams. As of now, there is not going to be a baseball or softball team.
